Check-ins

Simply check in — and let others know if you wish.

You can check in through the secure zorVaro area, conveniently via the app or by SMS.

Each check-in restarts the time window you defined. You can also choose to have prepared messages sent automatically after your check-in.

For example, a quick click can let several family members know that everything is okay.

SMS is especially useful in situations with no or only limited internet access. Suitable satellite communication devices can also be used, provided they can send SMS messages to public mobile phone numbers.
Your check-in is not tied to your mobile number. You receive one-time CODES that you can send to our server. This means you can still check in if you lose your phone.

Scheduled actions

You decide what should happen and when.

Actions can be scheduled at different times around your check-in and repeated if needed.

This allows you to prepare short “Everything’s okay” messages after a check-in as well as multi-step processes for when an expected check-in is missed.

Messages and notifications

zorVaro can automatically send prepared messages through different channels:

• Email
• SMS
• automated voice call
• registered mail

You choose the communication channel that best fits each contact and situation. All-good messages, reminders and contingency actions all use the same prepared workflow.

Registered mail is an optional additional service. The estimated cost is shown in advance and charged against your zorVaro credit balance.

FILES

Share files securely

You can add files to prepared actions if you wish.

You can choose whether a file is sent directly as an attachment or made available through a personal, protected retrieval link.

Each recipient can have their own retrieval link and retrieval code. If needed, the code can be sent separately by SMS or automated voice call.

File contents are stored encrypted on the server. For particularly sensitive content, an additional mode is available for files that you have already encrypted yourself.

zorVaro does not analyze your files. Uploaded files are not opened for content, searched, indexed or displayed as a preview. They are processed only for encrypted storage and the delivery method you selected — for example as an email attachment or through a protected download.

Contacts

All important people in one place.

Contacts are managed centrally in your account and can then be used for different actions.

This means you do not have to enter the same contact details again for every new action.

Substitutions and availability

If the change is permanent, a contact can also be replaced entirely by another person. For automated voice calls, you can additionally define an allowed calling window. For example, if a call becomes due during the night but calls are only permitted from 6:00 a.m. onward, zorVaro postpones the call until the next allowed time. SMS, email, and other actions remain unaffected.

OUT AND ABOUT

When you planned to be back — and no one knows why you aren't.

With “Out and About”, you can set a limited time period for activities such as hiking, cycling, traveling alone or any situation where you expect to be back by a certain time.
You set an expected return time and can extend the time window at any time or check in with “Back safely”.
If the return confirmation is missed, zorVaro can carry out the notifications and actions you prepared for that situation.
Your regular check-in schedule remains independent. You decide whether a safe return should also count as a regular check-in.
This makes the feature suitable for short-term situations without changing your normal check-in schedule.

EMERGENCY CARDS

Important information within reach — even when you're out and about.

With zorVaro, you can create personal emergency cards with a QR code and carry them with you, for example in your wallet.

You decide which information can be accessed through a card — for example emergency contacts, medical notes, allergies, blood type, information about children or links to important documents.

Access can be provided directly via the QR code or additionally protected by a PIN.

If contact details or other information change later, you simply update them in zorVaro.

The QR code on your existing card stays the same. The cards can be exported as a PDF in 86 × 54 mm card format. Color, layout and the amount of information shown can be customized.

Also for pets

Emergency cards can also be created for pets. The QR code can provide up-to-date care information and selected contacts — making it immediately clear when a pet needs to be cared for. Only the information you release for the respective card is shown on its emergency page.

Connect with other systems

zorVaro can also trigger prepared actions in other systems through protected interfaces.

For example, WordPress, WooCommerce or other supported services can be included in a personal workflow.

Test it before it matters

Simulation lets you test your prepared workflow without triggering real messages or actions.

The workflow view clearly shows which steps are scheduled and when.

Logs

Everything stays traceable

Check-ins and completed actions are logged.

You can see at any time what is planned, what has already been carried out and the current status of each action.
