zorVaro protected

So lost items can find their way back to you.

A zorVaro protected tag connects an item via QR code to a protected contact option. Finders can reach you without your phone number or email address having to be displayed publicly on the item.

How zorVaro protected works

A small QR code provides a direct route back.

The protected tag is assigned to an item. If the item is found, the QR code opens a public zorVaro page in the browser. The finder can get in touch without needing a zorVaro account.

Assign tag

Activate the QR code and assign it to the item you want to label.

Finder scans

A smartphone is all that is needed. The QR code opens the corresponding protected page directly in the browser.

Get in touch

The finder can send a message through zorVaro. Your personal contact details do not need to be displayed on the item.

Arrange return

The finder and owner can then agree directly on how and where the item should be returned.

Privacy instead of a phone number on the sticker

Stay reachable without making personal contact details public.

A phone number or email address printed directly on a bicycle, key ring or piece of luggage remains visible there permanently. With zorVaro protected, the QR code can be used as the contact route instead.

The finder uses the public protected page and its contact function. zorVaro forwards the contact request to the owner currently assigned to the item.

Important: zorVaro protected is not a GPS tracker and does not automatically determine an item’s location. It provides a simple way to make contact when someone finds the labelled item.

Suitable for many kinds of items

From bicycles to tool cases.

protected tags can be useful anywhere an honest finder should be able to quickly see how to reach the owner.

Bicycle & e-bike

A weather-resistant QR sticker on the frame can provide a quick way to contact the owner.

Keys & bags

Let finders get in touch without putting your home address or phone number directly on the lost item.

Luggage & travel

Suitcases, backpacks and travel luggage can be given a durable digital contact option.

Tech & tools

Devices, tool cases and other valuable items can also be clearly assigned to a protected entry.

Change of owner

The tag can stay with the item.

If a labelled item is sold, given away or otherwise passed on, the QR tag does not need to be replaced. zorVaro protected supports ownership transfer using a transfer code.

The previous owner generates the transfer code. The new owner can redeem it on the transfer page and, after confirmation, take over the assignment.

Generate code

The current owner starts the transfer in their protected zorVaro area.

Pass on code

The transfer code is handed to the new owner together with the item.

Confirm transfer

The new owner redeems the code and takes over the protected assignment for their account.

One code, many possible formats

Stickers, tags or other QR formats.

The protected service is not tied to a single physical format. Depending on the item, the QR code can be used as a weather-resistant sticker, tag or another suitable carrier.

The system assignment is what matters: the physical QR code leads to the correct protected page and can continue to be used after a later change of owner.
