We use professionally refurbished mini PCs from proven business ranges, such as Lenovo ThinkCentre, HP ProDesk or comparable systems. The exact model may vary depending on availability.

Why refurbished?
Business mini PCs are built for professional use. Professionally refurbished systems provide a robust hardware platform without producing unnecessary new electronics or significantly increasing the price of the Home Server.
More independence
Your own server. Your own communication provider accounts.
With the Home Server, zorVaro does not just run on your own hardware. Email, SMS and voice services can also be connected through your own provider accounts wherever possible.
You can of course also use our SMS / voice connections as the primary provider and/or as a fallback.
Your own SMTP account
Emails are sent through SMTP accounts provided by you. The credentials are stored exclusively for your installation.
Your own SMS/voice providers
SMS and automated voice calls can use two supported customer-owned provider accounts. The provider then bills usage costs directly to you.
Seven.io and Twilio are currently supported.
Additional providers can be added in the future.
Supported providers depend on the current technical capabilities of zorVaro. Any charges from the respective email, SMS or voice provider are not included in the Home Server price.
Cloud or your own server?
The same goal. Two different operating models.
For most users, zorVaro Cloud is the easiest way to get started. The Home Server is intended for people who deliberately want to run zorVaro on their own hardware.

Your own compact server in your home. zorVaro is installed on the prepared hardware and runs as your own system.
Good to know
One-time purchase price plus annual maintenance
The one-time purchase price includes the Home Server, the applicable zorVaro license, technical preparation and 12 months of updates, maintenance and standard remote support.
From the second year, €99 per year is charged for ongoing maintenance of the zorVaro installation. This includes zorVaro updates, required migrations, maintenance of the provided system environment and standard remote support.
External services such as SMS, automated voice calls, registered mail or email services are not included in this annual fee. If you use your own provider accounts, those costs are billed directly between you and the respective provider.
To operate the system at home, you also need an internet connection and electricity. Depending on your home network, a short on-site configuration may be required for the initial setup.
